Like Water, I Am Flowing
There is so much available to us.
Knowledge.
Technology.
Rest.
Beauty.
Time.
Freedom.
Sometimes I wonder how much of heaven already exists here on Earth, sitting just beyond something we created ourselves:
Money.
I recently found myself frustrated by the realization that access often has a price. Something can exist. Something can make life easier, fuller, more expansive—and still remain just beyond someone's reach.
And then I caught myself.
Because I, too, want to be valued at a premium.
I want to be compensated well for my time, my ideas, my discernment, my energy, and what I bring into a room.
At first, those thoughts seemed contradictory.
How can I resent money as a barrier while also wanting more of it?
But perhaps money isn't the thing I'm really wrestling with.
Maybe it's the idea that price determines worth.
It doesn't.
My desire for abundance isn't about proving that I am more valuable than someone who has less.
I want abundance because I want freedom.
Freedom to rest.
Freedom to create.
Freedom to give.
Freedom to travel.
Freedom to experience this beautiful life while I am here.
Freedom to say yes without fear—and no without consequence.
And maybe breaking free doesn't require me to spend my life fighting the system around me.
Maybe I can simply learn how to move through it.
I am the water.
Water doesn't argue with the rock.
It flows around it.
It finds the opening.
It changes direction without losing itself.
It can be gentle enough to hold in your hands and powerful enough to reshape the earth.
That is the relationship I want with life.
I don't want to force every outcome anymore.
I don't want to exhaust myself proving that I deserve what I desire.
I want to listen.
Move.
Adjust.
Receive.
And keep flowing toward what is open to me.
I can desire a world where more people have access to the things that help us flourish while still recognizing that my own time is precious.
I can be generous without being endlessly available.
I can serve without undervaluing myself.
I can give freely and still charge a premium.
I can participate in this world without allowing its measurements to define me.
Money may determine the price of my time.
It will never determine its worth.
So I will continue toward freedom.
Not fighting every wall.
Not begging every gate to open.
Just moving toward the places where life makes room for me.
Because I am the water.
And water always finds a way.
